Sulfur-crested Cockatoo

Cacatua galerita

This cockatoo lives in eastern and south-eastern Australia, including Tasmania. Females can be distinguished from males by their brownish eyes, while male eyes are darker brown to black. They reach a length of 44 cm (17.5 in). They live in pairs or flocks of up to 30 individuals, and feed on seeds, fruits, flowers, and insects & their larvae.
