Anser indicus
The Bar-headed Goose spends the summers in high altitude lakes of Central Asia and winters in South Asia, in some areas of lowland India. This bird flies at extremely high altitudes when crossing the Himalayas during their very challenging migration, making it one of the highest flying birds.
The above picture was taken at the zoo of Wuppertal, Germany, in April 2011.
