Cacatua moluccensis
The salmon-crested cockatoo is an endangered species because of extensive capture for trade. Probably less than 2000 birds live in the island of Ceram, Indonesia (and nowhere else). They feed on seeds, fruits, berries, nuts, and probably insects & their larvae. They are usually observed only in early morning or late afternoon. Pairs stay close together and occasionally can be seen grooming each other.
